Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: your email address and a password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form; we can't see it). You get a randomly generated "baker name."
• Game info: your scores, games played, and time spent playing.
• Basic visit info: approximate city and state (from our hosting provider, Cloudflare), device type (phone, tablet, computer), which game screens you visit, time on site, and which products you tap in the cookie carousel. We do not store your IP address.
• Your choice about marketing emails (the "Send me deals & news" box).

How we use it

• To run the game, show the leaderboard, pick the prize winner, and contact the winner.
• To send password-reset emails you request.
• If you opted in, to send East Coast Bakes deals and news. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand how the game and promotion are doing (for example, how many people played and which products got clicks).

Who we share it with

Your email, opt-in choice, and the tags "ECB Games" / the event name are added to East Coast Bakes' customer list in Shopify, which East Coast Bakes uses for its online store and email marketing. We use Cloudflare to host the site and store game data, and Resend to send password-reset emails. These services process data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.

What's public

Only your baker name and best score appear on the public leaderboard. Your email is never shown publicly.

Cookies and storage

We use a single login cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage for small things like the sound on/off setting. We don't use advertising trackers.

Children

The game is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime using the link in any email.
• Ask us to see, correct, or delete your account and data by contacting East Coast Bakes through eastcoastbakes.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Keeping data safe

Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and admin tools are password-protected. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes

If we update this policy we'll change the date below.
